How do I know that my artwork is an original work of art?

All of the Hatch-d artwork is guaranteed original artwork unless it is clearly stated that the artwork is part of a limited edition in which case it will be numbered. Hatch-d artists guarantee that the artworks provided by them are originals (or if stated part of an edition). If you believe that you have received otherwise, please email us immediately. 

Who sets the price of the artwork? 

The artist sets the price of the sale of the artwork. The overall price we charge you includes metro delivery. For more information on delivery click here.    

What if there is nothing on your website that inspires me?

The Art Hunter can help you find something that does! 

The Art Hunter is our very own team of art researchers headed by Founder and CEO of Hatch-d, Jacqui Thomas. We’ll help you find the perfect artwork for your space. Looking for the perfect ocean-themed painting for your beach shack? Or need something modern and edgy for your inner city warehouse? We can help you find it. 

You can engage the Art Hunter team by sending us a photo of the room you need art for along with any preferences you might have for theme, colours or price and we’ll do our best to hunt it down for you. 

Please make sure you send a good quality photograph saved as a .jpg file. Please ensure that the intended location of the artwork is well lit and directly in front of the camera. Please include the floor to ceiling measurement of the wall so that we can show the art at its actual size.

What if I buy the art and I don’t like it?

Can I send feedback to the artist?

We would be absolutely thrilled to hear from you and to receive feedback on your experience with Hatch-d, your new artwork, or the artist. We’d even love to see your new art in your space! We will pass on any comments and feedback directly to the artist on your behalf.

I’m not ready to buy yet, how can I show that I love the artwork, or the artist without buying?

To show your love for a piece of art or artist simply click the    and 'heart the art', the artist, or the collection to give it your love.

WHAT WILL THE ART LOOK LIKE ON MY WALL? 

Is it possible to see how a piece of artwork will look on my wall?

We understand that buying art online can be tricky. That’s why we’ve introduced our exclusive ‘in situ’ art visualisation service: Art Your Space. If you want to see how your art will look in your home or office, please send us a pic of your room and we’ll show you what your chosen artworks will look like in situ. 

All you need to do is email us the name of the artist, the title of the work/works, and a good quality photograph of your space saved as a .jpg file no larger than 5MB.

Please ensure that the intended location of the artwork is well lit and square to the camera as per the sample image. Please include the floor to ceiling measurement of the wall so that we can show the art at its actual size.

I love art, but I have no idea how to choose art that will work in my room.

If you like a particular style of artwork, for example, modern, bright, abstract, or a particular theme like water, flowers, or faces please let us know so we can narrow our search. 

Send us a photo of your room and we’ll show you what our recommended artworks will look in situ. Please make sure you send a good quality photograph saved as a .jpg file. Please ensure that the intended location of the artwork is well lit and directly in front of the camera.

How can I ask an artist a question?

Email your question to hello@hatch-d.com.au and we’ll follow up your enquiry with the artist. 

PURCHASING AND SHIPPING DETAILS: 

Who pays for the shipping insurance on the artwork? 

Shipping insurance is included in the price of the art. Once you have received the artwork we suggest you make sure it is covered by your own home and contents insurance. 

How secure are my credit card details?

Hatch-d does not see, or retain, any of your credit card information at any stage of your purchase transaction. Our checkout utilises a secure PayPal transaction functionality. 

How long will it take for my artwork to be delivered?

We allow our artists up to five (5) days to pack and prepare their artwork for shipping.

Most metro orders are generally delivered within ten (10) business days.

Please allow longer for non-metro deliveries. If for some reason, you are waiting longer than expected, please contact us. We’ll be tracking your piece as it travels from the artist to your door.

What if my artwork is damaged in transit?

Damage to art during shipping is very rare. Our artists and shipping agents care a great deal for their art and take great care in packaging the art for shipping.

If the packaging is noticeably damaged you do not have to accept or sign for the package.

If you have accepted the delivery, please photograph both the damage to the packaging and the artwork and keep both along with any paperwork that came with the package. Send the photographs to hello@hatch-d.com.au.

If you or someone else has taken deliver for you:

Firstly, please keep all the packaging that the artwork arrived in plus any documentation. Secondly, please take as many photos of the damage and packaging and contact us immediately. 

We will then take up the damage with the courier and insurance company and keep you informed of the process. 

Is my personal information safe?

You personal information is absolutely secure and confidential. We will never share your details with any other 3rd party for any purpose whatsoever. Your details are used only to communicate with you about your purchasers and to share with you any information and updates that you have registered for.

Does the list price include delivery?

All prices displayed include metro delivery within Australia. Metro delivery areas include to the following postcodes:

Sydney 2000-2234
Melbourne 3000-3207
Brisbane 4000-4207, 4300-4305, 4500-4519
Perth 6000-6199
Adelaide 5000-5199
Darwin 800-832
Canberra 2600-2609

Any other postcodes may incur additional delivery costs. If you live outside a metro area, we suggest you email Hatch-d HQ and ask us to hold your chosen artwork and contact while we calculate accurate shipping costs. 

What if I live outside Metro regions?

Australia is a huge country and delivery costs can vary enormously. If you are outside metro zones, please ask us to put a 48-hour hold on your chosen artwork and contact us for delivery costs.

Do you deliver overseas?

We can ship most of our artworks internationally, however you will need to contact us to ascertain accurate freight costs to your location. If you reside outside of Australia and have fallen in love with one of our artist’s works, please email us to reserve the work while we receive shipping costs. hello@hatch-d.com.au.

How do I pay for my artwork?

We accept payment via PayPal which also accepts Visa and Mastercard. If you need to pay via direct deposit, please email us to put your artwork on hold and we will arrange for you to send us direct payment.

What if the artwork is a different colour to what I saw on the website?

While all care is taken to represent the artwork in its true light, colours will vary from computer screen to computer screen, and from room to room. Remember also that you are viewing a photograph of the artwork, and in reality the actual artwork will probably be more vibrant than its image.
