Jane Stradwick

Jane Stradwick is an artist who works with drawing, photography and collage. Jane completed a three year diploma in design arts at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design in Auckland, NZ, in the early nineties. Strong themes of form, fashion and beauty follow Jane’s past study of fashion design and a career in makeup artistry. She also spent 12 years in the field of archaeology as a technical illustrator which can be seen in her style of drawing. 

Jane is a full time artist living in Melbourne with her young son.  Current themes in her work include self-expression and identity, repetition and scale, aesthetics in historic fashion imagery and literary characters.
